The SPI 34-240-2 is a single-end No Go plug thread gage used to verify internal thread quality on 10-24 unified coarse threads to a 3B tolerance class. Machined from steel, this gage is used during inspection to confirm that a threaded hole does not exceed the maximum material condition limit. When the No Go member enters the thread, the hole fails inspection. This tool is a standard part of thread quality control in manufacturing, machining, and mechanical assembly environments. Handle is sold separately and accepts a Size 0 handle. Traceability certification to NIST standards is included with the gage.
The SPI 34-240-2 is suited for incoming inspection, in-process quality checks, and final inspection of tapped holes in metal components. Thread plug gages are handled and used by quality control technicians and machinists — no power tools or electrical shutoff is required. Store gages in a protective case away from moisture and other metal tooling to prevent damage to the gage members. Do not force the No Go member into a hole; entry under hand pressure alone indicates a failing thread condition. Gages should be recalibrated periodically per your facility quality program to maintain NIST traceability.
