The SPI 34-228-7 is a single-end plug thread gage used to verify that an internal thread does not exceed its maximum material condition. Designated as a No Go gage, it checks that a tapped hole has not been cut undersized or misformed to the point where a mating fastener would bind. This gage conforms to 6H classification for unified internal threads on a 6-32 thread form. Manufactured from steel for dimensional stability and wear resistance, the 34-228-7 is sized for a Size 0 handle, which is sold separately. It is used by machinists, quality technicians, and precision fabricators in production inspection and incoming inspection workflows.
This gage is suited for inspection of 6-32 unified coarse thread holes in light-gauge metal components, electronics enclosures, instrument panels, and similar applications where small-fastener thread integrity must be confirmed. The 6H tolerance class is the standard fit for most general-purpose unified internal threads, making this gage appropriate for high-volume production inspection as well as toolroom and MRO use. A traceability certification traceable to NIST is included, supporting ISO and AS quality management system documentation requirements.
Designed for use with Size 0 plug thread gage handles sold separately. Intended for inspection of 6-32 unified coarse internal threads conforming to 6H tolerance class per ANSI standards.
Thread gages are handled and used by quality technicians and machinists; no power source or utility shutoff is required. Store the gage in its protective case when not in use to prevent nicks or corrosion that could compromise gage accuracy. Do not force the No Go gage into a thread; if it does not enter freely by hand, the thread is within acceptable limits. Periodically re-certify the gage per your facility quality plan to ensure continued measurement traceability.
