The SPI 34-195-8 is a single-end plug thread gage configured as a No Go member for inspecting 0-80 unified fine threads to ANSI Class 3B tolerance. Machined from steel, this gage is used to verify that an internal thread does not accept an oversized condition, confirming the thread falls within the upper tolerance limit. It is a hand-held inspection tool sized for a 000 handle, which is sold separately. Machinists, quality technicians, and precision manufacturing shops use plug thread gages like this one as a standard part of in-process and final inspection on tapped holes.
This gage is suited for incoming inspection, production floor use, and quality lab environments where 0-80 tapped holes must conform to Class 3B thread standards. Class 3B is a tight-tolerance classification commonly specified for precision assemblies, aerospace hardware, and instrumentation components where reliable thread engagement and fit are critical. The No Go member is used alongside a separate Go gage to complete a full thread acceptance check per ANSI standards.
Designed for use with 000-series plug gage handles to inspect 0-80 Class 3B tapped holes. Handle is not included and must be sourced separately.
Thread gages are precision inspection instruments and should be handled and stored with care to prevent damage to the gage member. Do not force the No Go member into a thread; by design, it should not enter a conforming hole. Clean threads of chips, oil, and debris before gaging to ensure accurate readings. Periodic calibration and proper storage in a protective case are recommended to maintain traceability and accuracy.
