The SPI 34-194-1 is a single-end plug thread gage used to verify the tolerance rejection boundary of internal threaded features. Designated as a No Go gage, it checks that an internally threaded hole does not exceed its maximum material condition, ensuring threads are not cut oversized or otherwise out of tolerance. The gage is manufactured from steel and conforms to ANSI and NIST standards, with a traceability certification included for documentation in quality systems. Licensed machinists, tool-and-die technicians, quality control inspectors, and precision manufacturing professionals use this type of gage as part of standard thread inspection protocol.
This gage is designed for use with 0-80 internal threads, a fine-pitch unified thread specification common in miniature fastener applications found in instrument assembly, electronics, medical devices, and small precision components. The 2B classification indicates a standard tolerance class for general-purpose unified internal threads. The gage accepts a Size 0 handle, which is sold separately. It is suited for both production floor inspection and incoming quality verification tasks where NIST-traceable documentation is required.
Designed for inspection of 0-80 unified internal threads, 2B tolerance class. Compatible with standard Size 0 thread gage handles. Handle is not included and must be sourced separately.
Thread plug gages are used by quality control inspectors and precision machinists and do not require installation in the traditional sense. Before use, ensure the gage and the threaded workpiece are clean and free of chips, cutting fluid, or debris that could affect measurement accuracy. The No Go gage member should not pass through a conforming thread; if it does, the threaded feature is out of tolerance and should be rejected. Store the gage in its protective case when not in use to prevent damage to the thread form.
