The SPI 29-769-7 is a Class ZZ Plus plug gage designed to verify bore diameters with a nominal measurement of 0.769 inches and a tolerance of 0.0002 inches. Plug gages of this class are go/no-go inspection tools used to confirm that drilled, reamed, or bored holes fall within acceptable dimensional limits. The steel construction provides durability and dimensional stability under shop-floor conditions. Machinists, quality control technicians, and toolroom personnel use this gage as part of in-process or final inspection routines on precision-machined components.
This plug gage is suited for inspection of holes at or near 0.769 inches in diameter in both production and job-shop environments. It is appropriate for use on machined metal parts, fixtures, and assemblies where bore size must be confirmed before components proceed to the next stage of manufacturing. Class ZZ Plus gages are commonly used in medium-tolerance inspection work where tighter Class ZZ requirements must be met with an added tolerance allowance for extended service life.
Designed as a direct-use inspection gage for bores with a nominal diameter of 0.769 inches. Compatible with standard plug gage handles designed to accept gages of this diameter range.
Plug gages should be handled with clean, dry hands or lint-free gloves to prevent corrosion from skin oils. Store the gage in its protective case when not in use to avoid surface damage that could affect measurement accuracy. Do not force the gage into an undersized bore; if resistance is encountered, remove the gage and inspect the workpiece. Periodic calibration against a known standard is recommended to verify gage accuracy over time.
