The SPI 23-193-6 is a double-ring threaded ring gage used to verify external thread dimensions on 3/4-10 UNC fasteners and threaded components. The set includes both a Go ring and a No Go ring in a single double-ring configuration, allowing technicians to confirm that threads fall within Class 2A tolerance limits in one inspection step. Constructed from tool steel for dimensional stability and wear resistance, this gage meets NIST standards and ships with a NIST traceability certification. It is a precision inspection tool used in manufacturing, machining, and quality control environments where thread conformance must be documented.
This gage is suited for inspecting externally threaded parts to Class 2A specifications, which covers the majority of standard commercial and industrial fastener applications. Machinists, quality control inspectors, and tool room technicians use this type of double-ring gage on the shop floor and in inspection labs. The Go ring confirms the thread will assemble with a mating part, while the No Go ring confirms the thread has not been cut undersize or outside tolerance. It is appropriate for both production inspection and incoming material verification.
Designed for inspection of externally threaded components with a 3/4-10 UNC thread form and Class 2A tolerance classification.
Threaded ring gages are handled and stored by metrology or quality control personnel, not installed into a system. Keep the gage clean and lightly oiled to prevent corrosion and protect the thread form. Do not force the Go ring onto a thread that does not start freely, as this can damage the gage. Periodic recalibration against NIST-traceable standards is recommended to maintain measurement integrity.
