The SPI 23-133-2 is a double-ring threaded ring gage used to verify external thread dimensions on 5-44 UNS fasteners and threaded components. It includes both a Go ring and a No Go ring in a single set, allowing a technician or machinist to confirm that a male thread falls within the acceptable tolerance range for Class 2A fits. Manufactured from tool steel, this gage is built for repeated use on the shop floor or inspection bench. NIST traceability certification is included, supporting quality systems that require documented measurement standards.
This gage is used in precision machining, manufacturing inspection, and assembly verification environments where 5-44 threaded fasteners must meet dimensional tolerance requirements. Class 2A is the standard tolerance class for most commercial and industrial fastener applications. The double-ring format keeps both the Go and No Go elements together, reducing handling time during incoming inspection or in-process checks.
Designed for gauging external threads with a 5-44 thread size and Class 2A classification per standard threading specifications.
Threaded ring gages are used by machinists and quality inspection personnel - no installation in a mechanical system is required. Store gages in a clean, dry environment and handle with care to avoid nicking the precision thread form. Calibrate and inspect the gage periodically per your facility quality procedures. NIST traceability documentation should be retained with your calibration records.
