The SPI 114-0,1-150 is a machinist-grade precision level designed for high-accuracy surface and alignment work in machine shops, fabrication environments, and tool rooms. The level delivers a graduation sensitivity of 0.001 inches per 10 inches, allowing machinists and maintenance technicians to detect minute deviations in flatness, parallelism, and level across machine tables, ways, and workholding surfaces. The body measures 6 inches in length and 1.0938 inches in width, and the unit weighs 0.704 pounds. Two vials are included for reading level in two planes without repositioning the instrument.
This precision level is used on manual and CNC machine tool surfaces, surface plates, lathe beds, milling machine tables, and similar applications where precise leveling and alignment are critical. It is a standard instrument for machinery installation, re-leveling after relocation, and periodic alignment verification. The compact 6-inch body fits across a wide range of machine surfaces and ways. Licensed machinists, millwrights, and maintenance mechanics are the primary users of this type of instrument.
Designed as a standard machinist precision level suitable for use on machine tool ways, surface plates, and precision alignment applications requiring 0.001-inch-per-10-inch sensitivity.
Clean and deburr the reference surface before placing the level to avoid false readings caused by chips or surface contamination. Handle vials carefully to avoid shock damage, which can alter calibration. Store the level in its case when not in use to protect the vials and precision-ground base. Periodic calibration verification against a known reference surface is recommended for critical alignment work.
