The SPECO P4S6G is a 6-port network switch with 4 ports configured for Power over Ethernet (PoE) full operation. It is designed for use in structured cabling and IP network installations where both data connectivity and device power delivery are required from a single cable run. This switch suits applications where IP cameras, access control readers, VoIP endpoints, or similar PoE-powered devices need to be connected to a local network. Installation is typically performed by low-voltage technicians or network integrators working on commercial or light commercial security and communications systems.
The P4S6G fits into IP-based surveillance and access systems where a compact, PoE-capable switch is needed at the edge of the network. With 4 PoE-capable ports out of 6 total, the unit allows a mix of powered devices and standard network uplink connections in a single compact footprint. It is sold as a single unit and is appropriate for closet, rack, or surface-mount installations depending on the enclosure or bracket used.
Designed as an OEM-style switch for use in IP network infrastructure supporting PoE-powered devices such as IP cameras, VoIP phones, and access control hardware in commercial low-voltage installations.
Installation should be performed by a licensed low-voltage technician or qualified network integrator familiar with structured cabling standards such as TIA-568. Power down or disconnect upstream network equipment before making or changing port connections. Ensure the total PoE power budget of the switch is not exceeded by the combined draw of all connected powered devices. Follow local electrical and low-voltage codes when mounting and terminating cables.
