The SPEARS cp-007 is a CPVC plastic pipe engineered for light hazard fire sprinkler systems. Manufactured under the FlameGuard product line, it provides a lightweight and durable alternative to metallic pipe in fire protection applications. The pipe is rated to SDR 13.5 schedule class with a 0.078-inch wall thickness and an outside diameter of 1.5 inches, making it suitable for standard 3/4-inch fire sprinkler branch lines. It meets UL listing requirements and carries NSF 14 and NSF 61 certifications. Licensed fire sprinkler contractors and pipefitters install this pipe in new construction and retrofit sprinkler projects. Manufactured domestically in the U.S.A.
The cp-007 is intended for light hazard fire protection and fire sprinkler piping in residential and light commercial applications. Its orange color provides clear visual identification as fire sprinkler pipe in the field and during inspection. Plain end connections on both sides allow compatibility with CPVC solvent-cement fittings appropriate for fire sprinkler service. Each length is 15 feet, which minimizes joints on longer runs. This pipe is not intended for potable water pressure supply, drainage, or HVAC hydronic applications outside of fire protection service.
Designed for use in light hazard fire sprinkler systems using CPVC solvent-cement fittings. Compatible with plain-end CPVC fire sprinkler fittings conforming to ASTM F-438 and ASTM F-439 standards.
Installation must be performed by a licensed fire sprinkler contractor in accordance with NFPA 13 and applicable local codes. Shut off and depressurize the system before cutting or joining pipe. Use only CPVC solvent cement rated for fire sprinkler service — do not substitute standard plumbing-grade CPVC cement. Support spacing, hanger type, and minimum distances from heat sources must conform to the system design documents and the pipe manufacturer listings.
