Spears 8097-005 is a 1/2 inch Schedule 80 PVC socket union for joining two PVC pipe sections. The molded PVC fitting uses an EPDM O-ring for sealing, has socket ends, a length of 2-3/32 inches, and an actual socket diameter of 13/16 inch. It is rated 235 psi non-shock at 73°F and is manufactured to ASTM standards with NSF approval for potable water; domestic manufacture.
