Product Description

The SOUTHWIRE R40005-1A is a TAPPAN 31SR Series Type CMR/CL3R multi-conductor shielded riser cable designed for various low voltage and power limited systems. This 18 AWG cable features 4 bare stranded copper conductors, PVC insulation, and a PVC jacket. It has a 0.196 inch outside diameter and is supplied in a 1000 ft length. Rated for 300 V AC and a maximum operating temperature of 60 deg C, it is suitable for communication and control circuits.

  • Ripcord included for simple jacket tear-back and removal
  • Aluminum foil-polyester reinforced tape and stranded tinned copper drain wire shielding
  • Suitable for use in general purpose low voltage and power limited systems' circuits to NEC article 725 16 AWG and smaller also for communications circuits to NEC article 800
