The SOUTHWIRE LQA9050 is a 90-degree liquid tight box connector designed for secure conduit-to-enclosure terminations in wet and damp locations. Constructed from zinc die-cast, this connector provides a durable, corrosion-resistant connection where flexible liquid tight conduit meets electrical boxes, panels, or junction enclosures. The 90-degree angle geometry is suited for tight-clearance installations where a straight connector would create excessive conduit bends. The 1/2-inch trade size fits the most common flexible conduit diameter in residential and light commercial wiring. This package contains 3 connectors, making it practical for multi-circuit rough-in work on a single job.
These connectors are used by licensed electricians in residential and light commercial electrical installations. Typical applications include HVAC equipment connections, motor terminations, and any installation where flexible liquid tight conduit must transition into a knockout in a right-angle orientation. The zinc die-cast construction holds up in outdoor, utility, and mechanical room environments where moisture exposure is a regular concern.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fitment for 1/2-inch flexible liquid tight conduit terminations at electrical enclosure knockouts in residential and light commercial installations.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize all circuits in the affected panel or enclosure before beginning any conduit termination work. Use appropriate knockout punches or conduit tools to prepare the enclosure opening, and tighten the locknut securely to maintain the liquid tight seal and bonding continuity. Do not over-tighten the connector body, as zinc die-cast fittings can crack under excessive torque.
