The SOUTHWIRE/COLEMAN CABLE 22964158 is a 500-foot spool of 12 AWG stranded copper THHN building wire rated for 600 volts. The conductor is stranded copper with a nylon-jacketed thermoplastic insulation rated to 90 degrees C, giving it the heat and moisture resistance required for commercial and residential conduit runs. This wire is a standard pull for licensed electricians roughing in branch circuits, feeder runs, and equipment connections in conduit. The black jacket identifies it as a phase conductor under standard color-coding practice.
This wire is suited for use in dry and wet locations where THHN or THWN-rated conductors are specified. Typical applications include branch circuit wiring inside EMT, rigid metal conduit, or PVC conduit in residential, commercial, and light industrial settings. The 12 AWG size is commonly used on 20-amp branch circuits serving outlets, appliances, and HVAC equipment. The 500-foot pull length is practical for larger commercial jobs and multi-unit residential projects where shorter spools create unnecessary splices.
Designed for use in conduit systems where THHN or THWN-rated 12 AWG conductors are required per applicable electrical codes.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). De-energize and lock out the circuit before terminating conductors at panels, junction boxes, or equipment. Use appropriate conduit fill calculations per NEC Chapter 9 to confirm conduit sizing when pulling multiple conductors. Do not exceed the conductor ampacity rating for the installed conditions and ambient temperature.
