The SOUTHWIRE 16/2stoascmr50 is a 16 AWG, 2-conductor stranded thermostat and low-voltage control cable rated for riser (CMR) installations. Built under the Genesis cable line, it includes an overall foil shield with a drain wire to reduce electromagnetic interference in signal and control circuits. The riser rating means it meets the burn requirements for installation in vertical runs between floors. Licensed electricians and low-voltage technicians install this cable in commercial and residential buildings wherever a shielded, flame-retardant, multi-conductor cable is required for control or communication wiring.
