The SOUTHWIRE 13058355 is a Type UF-B underground feeder cable rated for direct earth burial and suitable for use in branch circuit wiring. Built on a 12 AWG, 3-conductor configuration, this 250-foot roll delivers the current-carrying capacity needed for residential and light commercial circuits routed underground or through wet and corrosive indoor environments. The cable construction is highly resistant to acids, alkalis, corrosive fumes, chemicals, lubricants, and groundwater. It is noncorroding, sunlight-resistant, and will not support combustion. UL listed. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors install this wire in direct-burial applications where standard NM-B cable is not permitted.
Type UF-B is the required cable type when running branch circuits from a structure to an outbuilding, landscape lighting circuit, outdoor receptacle, or any below-grade wiring application governed by the National Electrical Code. It is also approved for use indoors in wet or corrosive locations where moisture exposure is a concern. The 3-conductor format supports standard 120-volt branch circuits requiring a hot, neutral, and ground conductor. This 250-foot roll is sized for typical residential yard runs and small commercial site work.
Designed for use as an underground feeder cable in direct-burial branch circuit applications per NEC Article 340, and for wet or corrosive indoor locations requiring UF-B rated conductors.
Installation must comply with NEC Article 340 and all applicable local codes, including minimum burial depth requirements, which vary by circuit voltage and whether conduit is used. Always de-energize the circuit and verify zero voltage at the panel before terminating conductors. Use appropriate weatherproof fittings and boxes at surface entry and exit points. A licensed electrician should perform or inspect all connections to panels and load-side devices.
