The SOUTHWIRE 07548 is a heavy-duty temporary string light assembly built for job site and construction use. Designed with a 12/3 AWG three-conductor cord rated at 300 volts and 15 amps, it delivers reliable illumination in demanding temporary power applications. The assembly spans 50 feet and includes 5 lamp guards to protect bulbs from physical damage on active work sites. Each socket accepts bulbs up to 150 watts maximum. The cord is finished in OSHA Yellow for high visibility in low-light or high-traffic areas, making it easy to trace and identify in a busy job site environment. Electricians and general contractors use this type of temporary lighting during rough-in, inspection, and finishing phases of construction.
This string light assembly is suited for temporary lighting on residential and commercial construction sites, renovation projects, and industrial maintenance work. It is designed to hang along framing, conduit runs, or overhead structures where permanent lighting has not yet been installed. The OSHA Yellow jacket and metal lamp guards make it a practical choice in environments where cords and fixtures are subject to foot traffic, tools, and debris. Sold individually as a single pack.
Designed as an OEM-style temporary power solution for general job site string lighting applications requiring a 12 AWG, 15-amp, 300-volt rated assembly with standard medium-base lamp sockets.
Installation and connection of temporary job site lighting should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NEC Article 590, which governs temporary wiring on construction sites. Before connecting or disconnecting the assembly, ensure the power source is de-energized at the breaker. Do not exceed the 150-watt maximum bulb capacity per socket or the 15-amp circuit rating. Inspect the cord jacket and lamp guards for damage before each use, and replace the assembly if the insulation is cut, abraded, or shows signs of overheating.
