The SNAPPY t10-4 is a 4-inch galvanized adjustable takeoff fitting used in sheet metal ductwork systems to branch conditioned air from a main trunk line to a branch run or register boot. The fitting features a 1-inch rise, allowing it to angle away from the trunk and connect to flexible or rigid branch duct without requiring additional offset pieces. At 0.80 pounds, it is a lightweight single-piece component suited for residential and light commercial forced-air HVAC installations. HVAC sheet metal installers and duct fabricators use this fitting during new construction and retrofit duct work.
This takeoff is designed for use in low-pressure forced-air supply duct systems where a branch tap off a rectangular or round trunk line is required. The adjustable design accommodates angled positioning at the trunk, making it easier to direct branch runs toward registers in floor, wall, or ceiling applications. The 1-inch rise keeps the branch duct elevated slightly off the trunk surface, which aids in airflow transition and fitting seating. It is appropriate for residential gas furnace systems, heat pumps, and air handler installations.
Designed as an OEM-style sheet metal component for use in standard 4-inch branch duct systems in residential and light commercial forced-air HVAC applications.
Installation is performed by licensed HVAC technicians or sheet metal mechanics. Power down the air handler or furnace and close the system before cutting into any trunk line. Secure the takeoff to the trunk using sheet metal screws and seal all joints with UL 181-rated mastic or foil tape per local mechanical code requirements. Do not overtighten fasteners on the galvanized collar, as deformation can affect the branch duct seal.
