The SMEAD SMD14033 is a heavy-duty classification folder designed for organized, multi-level document filing in office and records-management environments. Built from 25 point pressboard stock, the folder features two 2 inch expansion panels that accommodate high-volume filing without losing structural integrity. SafeShield Coated Fastener Technology is applied to all fastener positions, reducing the risk of paper tears and finger cuts during regular use. Two 1 inch dividers constructed from 17 point stock are included, each equipped with SafeShield-coated twin-prong fasteners. Fasteners are mounted on the front panel, back panel, and both dividers, creating four separate filing surfaces within a single folder. This product is sold in a box of 10.
The SMD14033 is suited for legal, administrative, medical, and general office filing applications where documents must be categorized and separated within a single jacket. The folder tab features a 2/5 cut position for labeling visibility in standard drawer files. Divider tabs are 3/8 inch high with a 1/3 cut, providing clear section identification inside the folder. Its green color supports color-coded filing systems commonly used in records management and case file organization. This folder is appropriate for both active filing and longer-term records storage in standard file drawers.
Designed as an OEM-style classification folder for use in standard letter-size file drawers and filing systems requiring multi-section document organization.
Classification folders are filed by office professionals and records management staff and require no tools for setup. Insert fastener prongs through document holes and bend prongs flat to secure papers before placing the folder in the file drawer. When loading dividers, ensure documents are distributed evenly across sections to preserve the folder's structural shape over time. Avoid overfilling beyond the rated expansion capacity to prevent fastener and cover damage.
