The SMC PNEUMATICS KQ2Y10-01AS is a push-to-connect male run tee tube fitting designed for pneumatic plumbing and fluid handling systems. It accepts 10mm outside-diameter tubing and features a 1/8-inch BSPT male thread for inline branch connections. The body is constructed from brass with a polybutylene tube collet, rated to 145 psi maximum working pressure. This fitting installs without tools on the tube end - a single push seats the tubing securely - while the male thread end torques into a ported manifold, valve, or component body. Technicians working in compressed air distribution, automation panels, or light fluid circuits will find this a standard-format KQ2 series push-in fitting.
This fitting suits residential and light commercial pneumatic systems, automated equipment panels, and process instrumentation lines where a branch tee connection is needed from a run tube into a male-threaded port. The run-tee orientation keeps the main tube line continuous while adding a perpendicular male-threaded takeoff, minimizing fittings and potential leak points in tight panel layouts. Suitable for compressed air and compatible neutral fluids within the rated temperature range. BSPT thread form is common in metric and international pneumatic equipment.
Designed as an OEM-style push-to-connect replacement fitting for pneumatic systems using 10mm OD tubing and 1/8-inch BSPT male-threaded ports.
Depressurize and lock out the pneumatic circuit before removing or installing fittings. Ensure the tubing cut is clean and square - burrs or angled cuts will compromise the collet seal and can cause leaks under pressure. Apply appropriate thread sealant tape or compound to the BSPT male threads before installation, following the equipment manufacturer or applicable plumbing code guidance. To remove tubing, depress the collet release ring while pulling the tube free; do not pull on the tube without releasing the collet.
