The SMC PNEUMATICS KQ2Y05-35AS is a push-to-connect male run tee tube fitting designed for use in compressed air and fluid distribution systems. It features a 3/16 inch tube outside diameter and a 1/4 inch NPT male thread, allowing a branch connection to be added to an inline run without cutting or rejoining the main tube. The fitting body is constructed from brass with polybutylene contact components and is rated to 145 psi maximum working pressure. It is installed by pneumatic technicians and plumbing professionals in light industrial, OEM, and mechanical system applications.
This fitting is suited for residential and light commercial pneumatic plumbing where push-to-connect convenience reduces assembly time. It works within a temperature range of 23 degrees F to 140 degrees F, making it appropriate for indoor compressed air lines, fluid control circuits, and instrumentation tubing runs. The male run tee configuration allows the main tube to pass through the tee body while a threaded port ties into a fixed component such as a valve body or manifold port.
Designed as an OEM-style push-to-connect fitting for pneumatic and fluid systems using 3/16 inch OD tubing with 1/4 inch NPT threaded ports.
Installation is performed by licensed pneumatic technicians or plumbing professionals. Depressurize and isolate the system completely before removing or installing any fittings. Ensure the tube end is cut cleanly and squarely and is free of burrs before inserting into the push-to-connect collet. Verify thread engagement meets applicable installation standards before returning the system to service.
