The SMC PNEUMATICS KQ2T06-M5A is a push-to-connect male branch tee fitting designed for pneumatic tubing systems. It accepts 6mm outside diameter tubing and threads into M5 x 0.8 male ports, allowing a single inline connection point to branch into a tee configuration without tools. The brass body and polybutylene construction support a maximum working pressure of 145 psi. This fitting is suited for compressed air lines and light pneumatic control circuits where quick tube insertion and reliable sealing are required. Licensed pneumatic and instrumentation technicians install this type of fitting on pneumatic control panels, automation equipment, and air distribution manifolds.
This fitting is used in both industrial and light commercial pneumatic systems, particularly where space-constrained M5 port equipment requires a tee branch connection. Typical applications include pneumatic solenoid valve banks, small-bore actuator circuits, and instrument air distribution lines. The push-to-connect design speeds up assembly and rework on equipment where tubing layouts must be modified without cutting or flaring. Operating temperature range spans 23 degrees F to 140 degrees F, making it appropriate for standard indoor pneumatic environments.
Designed as an OEM-style push-to-connect fitting for pneumatic systems using 6mm outside diameter tubing with M5 x 0.8 threaded ports. Confirm port thread specification and tubing outside diameter before installation.
Depressurize and lock out the pneumatic circuit before removing or installing fittings. Ensure the M5 x 0.8 receiving port is clean and free of debris before threading in the fitting body. Insert tubing fully into the push-to-connect collet until it seats; tug gently to confirm the retaining ring has engaged. Follow applicable OSHA and system manufacturer guidelines for pneumatic line service and pressure testing after reassembly.
