The SMC PNEUMATICS KQ2L08-12A is a push-to-connect plug-in reducer elbow fitting designed for pneumatic and fluid-handling tubing systems. It joins two different-diameter tubes at a 90-degree angle without tools, allowing a fast, secure connection in tight spaces. Constructed from brass and polybutylene, it handles a maximum working pressure of 145 psi and operates across a temperature range of 23 degrees F to 140 degrees F. The plug-in mechanism locks tubing in place on insertion and releases with a simple collar push, making it a reliable choice for production lines, automation setups, and compressed-air plumbing.
This reducer elbow fitting is used in pneumatic control systems, light industrial automation, and compressed-air distribution where tube sizes need to transition at a 90-degree angle. It accepts an 8.00 mm outside diameter tube on one end and a 12.00 mm outside diameter stem on the other. Typical applications include machine-mounted pneumatic circuits, panel-mounted valve manifolds, and any system requiring a compact directional change between mismatched tube sizes. Installation requires no thread sealant, no crimping tools, and no heat.
Designed as an OEM-style push-to-connect fitting for pneumatic tubing systems requiring a reducer elbow connection between 8.00 mm and 12.00 mm outside diameter tubing.
A licensed or qualified pneumatic technician or plumber should install this fitting in accordance with applicable local codes and system design specifications. Depressurize and lock out the pneumatic or fluid system completely before removing or installing any fittings. Ensure tubing ends are cut cleanly and squarely with no burrs before insertion, as rough cuts can compromise the push-to-connect seal. Do not exceed the rated 145 psi working pressure or the 140 degrees F maximum temperature limit.
