The SMC PNEUMATICS KQ2L08-03AS is a push-to-connect male elbow tube fitting designed for pneumatic tubing systems. It accepts 8mm outside diameter tubing and threads into ports with a 3/8 BSPT male thread. The brass body and polybutylene construction give it solid chemical resistance and durability in compressed air lines. Rated to 145 psi maximum working pressure, this fitting is suitable for industrial pneumatic plumbing, automation equipment, and general compressed air distribution. Installation requires no tools for the tube connection - the push-to-connect collet grips and seals the tubing on insertion. Pneumatic technicians and industrial maintenance professionals are the typical installers.
This fitting is suited for pneumatic plumbing in industrial automation, manufacturing, and light commercial compressed air systems. Its male elbow configuration allows a 90-degree direction change at a threaded port, making it useful in tight panel or manifold installations where straight fittings would create routing problems. The operating temperature range of 23 degrees F to 140 degrees F covers most indoor compressed air applications. The BSPT thread type is commonly specified in equipment manufactured to metric and international standards.
Designed as an OEM-style push-to-connect fitting for pneumatic tubing systems using 8mm outside diameter tubing with 3/8 BSPT threaded ports, consistent with SMC KQ2 series pneumatic plumbing components.
Installation should be performed by a qualified pneumatic or industrial maintenance technician. Depressurize and lock out the compressed air circuit before removing existing fittings or installing this component. Ensure the mating port thread is clean and undamaged before threading in the fitting; apply thread sealant appropriate for pneumatic service per the equipment manufacturer's guidance. Tubing should be cut cleanly and squarely before inserting into the push-to-connect collet to ensure a proper seal.
