The SMC PNEUMATICS KQ2L06-01AS is a push-to-connect male elbow tube fitting designed for pneumatic tubing connections in compressed air and fluid control systems. Built from brass with a polybutylene tube contact body, it accepts 6mm outside diameter tubing and threads into a 1/8 BSPT male port. Maximum working pressure is 145 psi. The elbow geometry redirects a tubing run 90 degrees without bending or additional fittings. Installation requires no tools on the tubing side - push the tube in to connect, press the release collar to disconnect. Licensed HVAC, industrial, and mechanical contractors use this fitting in pneumatic control circuits, automation assemblies, and general-purpose compressed air distribution.
The KQ2L06-01AS is suited for both light industrial and commercial pneumatic applications where a compact, reliable 90-degree directional change is needed at a threaded port. It operates across a temperature range of 23 degrees F to 140 degrees F, making it appropriate for indoor climate-controlled environments and light outdoor installations where temperatures remain within that range. Typical use cases include pneumatic actuator lines, control panel air supply headers, and instrument air manifolds. The RoHS-compliant construction supports projects with environmental material restrictions.
Designed for use with 6mm outside diameter pneumatic tubing in systems using 1/8 BSPT threaded ports. Suitable as an OEM-style or replacement fitting in pneumatic control and automation assemblies.
Depressurize and de-energize the pneumatic circuit before removing or installing any fittings. Thread the male BSPT end into the port by hand first, then tighten with an appropriate wrench - do not overtighten brass threads into aluminum or plastic ports. Verify tubing is cut square and deburred before inserting into the push-to-connect collet; angled or burred cuts reduce seal integrity. Follow applicable local mechanical and pneumatic codes when integrating into pressurized systems.
