The SLOAN 3452647 is an exposed, diaphragm-type sensor flushometer designed for hardwired urinal installations. It delivers a flush volume of 1.5 gallons per flush (GPF) and operates using the OPTIMA EL-1500-L self-adaptive infrared sensor with indicator light for hands-free, automatic actuation. The valve body features high-copper, low-zinc brass castings engineered for dezincification resistance. A non-hold-open integral solenoid operator with fixed metering bypass and CID Technology diaphragm controls flush accuracy without an external volume adjustment, supporting water conservation compliance in commercial plumbing systems. Licensed plumbers install this unit in new construction and retrofit urinal rough-in applications.
The 3452647 is suited for commercial and institutional restroom installations where exposed flushometer hardware is specified. It accepts either left-hand or right-hand supply connections, making it adaptable to existing rough-in configurations. The unit includes a chrome-plated wall cover plate sized for a 2-gang electrical box with vandal-resistant screws, a free-spinning vandal-resistant stop cap, a screwdriver Bak-Chek angle stop, an adjustable tailpiece, a high back pressure vacuum breaker, and a one-piece bottom hex coupling nut with spud coupling and flange. The PERMEX synthetic rubber diaphragm, stop seat, and vacuum breaker are molded from PERMEX rubber compound for chloramine resistance, making this valve appropriate for water systems treated with chloramine disinfectants.
Designed as an OEM-style exposed sensor flushometer for commercial urinal applications requiring a 1.5 GPF hardwired automatic flush valve in a standard rough-in configuration.
Installation must be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off the water supply at the angle stop and de-energize the hardwired electrical circuit before servicing or replacing any components. The wall cover plate requires a 2-gang electrical box rough-in; verify box location before mounting. Do not overtighten spud coupling connections, as damage to the rubber seating components may compromise flush performance.
