The SKF 3307 A-2RS1/C3 is a double-row angular contact ball bearing designed to handle combined radial and axial loads simultaneously. It features a 30-degree contact angle, which allows it to carry significant thrust loads in addition to radial loads. The bore diameter is 35 mm, the outside diameter is 80 mm, and the overall width is 34.9 mm. Two integral rubber seals (2RS1) retain grease and exclude contaminants, eliminating the need for external sealing arrangements. The C3 internal clearance designation indicates a looser-than-standard fit, suitable for applications with elevated operating temperatures or press-fit mounting conditions. This bearing is installed by mechanical technicians and millwrights in industrial and commercial equipment.
This bearing is suited for applications requiring combined load capacity and moderate to high rotational speed. With a maximum rated speed of 5,600 RPM, a dynamic load capacity of 49,400 pounds, and a static load capacity of 35,500 pounds, it is appropriate for use in pumps, compressors, gearboxes, electric motors, fans, and other rotating machinery found in industrial and commercial settings. The double-row configuration provides greater load capacity and stiffness compared to a single-row design, making it a practical choice where axial and radial forces act together on the shaft.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for double-row angular contact ball bearing positions in industrial rotating equipment requiring a 35 mm bore, 80 mm outside diameter, and 34.9 mm width with double-seal and C3 clearance specifications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified millwright or mechanical technician following the equipment manufacturer's service documentation. De-energize and lock out all power sources before removing the existing bearing. Use a bearing press or appropriate mechanical pulling and installation tools to seat the bearing without applying force through the rolling elements. Verify shaft and housing fits are within specification for C3 clearance bearings before installation.
