Sioux Chief 598-0213PK1 Expansion Tank Support Kit

Product Description

The SIOUX CHIEF 598-0213PK1 is a single-band expansion tank support kit designed to securely mount a 5-gallon expansion tank in residential and light commercial plumbing systems. The kit includes a 45-inch stainless steel band that wraps around the tank body and anchors it to a structural support surface. Stainless steel construction resists corrosion in wet mechanical room environments, making it a reliable long-term mounting solution. This hardware is typically installed by licensed plumbers during new construction or system retrofits where expansion tanks are required by code to protect closed-loop potable water or hydronic heating systems.

This support kit is sized for 5-gallon expansion tanks and is suited for use in residential water heater installations, closed-loop domestic water systems, and hydronic heating applications where the expansion tank must be suspended or wall-mounted. The single-band design provides a straightforward, low-profile mounting method that works with standard framing and pipe support structures. It is a practical hardware item for any plumbing rough-in or mechanical room installation requiring proper expansion tank restraint.
