The SIMPSON STRONG TIE PSCL 7/16 is a 20-gauge galvanized steel plywood clip designed to align and space sheathing panels during roof and wall panel installation. The clip slides onto the edge of a panel to maintain a consistent gap between adjacent sheets, keeping the surface flat and preventing edge warping without requiring nails for attachment. Framers and sheathing crews use this clip on residential and light commercial projects where panel alignment and flat-plane continuity are required by code or specification. The galvanized steel construction resists corrosion for use in exterior sheathing applications.
The PSCL 7/16 is sized for 7/16-inch structural panel sheathing, the most common thickness used in residential roof deck and wall sheathing applications. It is installed at panel edges between framing members to provide edge support and maintain the required spacing between panels. The 250-unit pack is suited for full-project or multi-roof supply quantities typically used by framing crews and roofing contractors.
Designed for use with 7/16-inch structural plywood and OSB sheathing panels in residential and light commercial roof deck and wall sheathing applications.
Plywood clips are installed by framers or roofing crews during sheathing application. Clips are placed on unsupported panel edges between rafters or studs before the adjacent panel is set. No nails or additional fasteners are required for clip placement. Follow local building code and panel manufacturer recommendations for clip spacing and panel edge gap requirements.
