Licensed contractors and structural carpenters install this hanger to transfer joist loads to a bearing member such as a header, beam, or rim board. The Strong-Grip seat, face nail locations positioned for easy tool access, and self-jigging locator tabs make installation faster and more consistent on the job site.

The IUS2.56/11.88 is designed for I-joists with a nominal depth of 11-7/8 inches. It is fully compatible with shallow flange I-joists, making it suitable for a wide range of engineered lumber products used in modern wood-frame construction. When the I-joist includes web stiffeners or is a rectangular section, two 10d x 1-1/2 inch joist nails driven into the optional triangle holes allow the hanger to accommodate those conditions.
