Product Description
The Simpson Strong-Tie ABW44Z is an adjustable post base designed to secure nominal 4x4 posts and provide a 1 in. standoff from the mounting surface. Made from 16-gauge steel with a mechanically galvanized Class 55 coating, the ABW44Z accommodates retrofit installation to existing concrete and allows final adjustment around the anchor bolt for accurate post placement. Typical applications include decks, pergolas, and other exposed wood structures.

- Adjustable slotted base with 1 in. standoff to reduce post-end moisture contact; compatible with 1/2 in. anchor bolts
