The SIMPLIFIRE SF-INS25 is a 25-inch electric fireplace insert designed to fit into unused or undersized masonry fireplaces as well as new construction wall applications. Rated at 1500 watts and 5100 BTU/h, the unit provides two heat output settings with thermostat control adjustable between 60 and 82 degrees F. A detailed masonry-style interior, a log set, and four selectable flame effects deliver a traditional wood-burning aesthetic without combustion. A full-function remote allows control of heat, flame settings, and a programmable timer of up to 9 hours in 1-hour increments. The insert ships with a front frame for a finished look and is compatible with two optional surround sizes sold separately.
The SF-INS25 is suited for residential applications where an existing masonry fireplace opening is smaller or where a built-in electric unit is needed in new construction. The viewing area measures 22 inches wide by 12 inches tall, providing a reasonable flame display in compact spaces. Minimum rough opening requirements are 25 inches front width, 18 inches rear width, 16.375 inches high, and 11.375 inches deep. Optional surrounds in two sizes — SF-SI3523-INS25 (small) and SF-SI3726-INS25 (large) — are available for 3-sided or 4-sided configurations. Optional black metal Mission Style doors (FT-MISSION-25) are also available separately.
The SF-INS25 installs into existing masonry fireplaces meeting minimum opening dimensions of 25 inches front width, 18 inches rear width, 16.375 inches high, and 11.375 inches deep. It is also compatible with new construction wall framing using the framing dimensions listed in the specifications. Optional accessories include surrounds SF-SI3523-INS25 and SF-SI3726-INS25 and Mission Style doors FT-MISSION-25, all sold separately.
Installation of this electric fireplace insert is typically performed by an electrician or qualified contractor familiar with NEC requirements for fixed electric heating appliances. Power to the installation area must be shut off at the breaker before beginning any wiring work. Verify the rough opening meets the minimum dimensional requirements before setting the unit. Consult the manufacturer installation instructions for new construction framing and wall-mount configurations, as they differ from masonry insert installation procedures.
