The SIGMA 811038819 is a FIG 3105R malleable iron galvanized reducing tee designed for threaded pipe assemblies in low-pressure fluid and gas distribution systems. It features female national pipe taper (FNPT) threads on all three ports and carries a 150 lb pressure rating, making it suitable for standard commercial and light industrial piping runs. The run measures 3/4 inch nominal, while both the branch and the outlet reduce to 1/2 inch nominal. Galvanized finish provides corrosion resistance in wet or exposed environments. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the typical installers for this fitting class.
This reducing tee is used in residential and commercial plumbing, hydronic heating, compressed air, and similar low-pressure threaded pipe systems where a run-to-branch size reduction is required. The 3/4 x 1/2 x 1/2 inch configuration handles a common step-down scenario, routing flow from a 3/4 inch main line to two 1/2 inch branch or outlet connections. It suits new construction and retrofit applications alike where galvanized malleable iron is specified.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for standard 150 lb FNPT malleable iron threaded piping systems with 3/4 inch nominal run and 1/2 inch nominal branch and outlet connections.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or pipefitters following applicable IPC or IFGC requirements. Shut off and depressurize the line completely before disassembling any threaded connections. Apply an approved thread sealant or PTFE tape to male threads before assembly — do not apply sealant to female threads. Hand-tighten first, then use a pipe wrench to achieve proper thread engagement without over-stressing the fitting.
