The SIGMA 811023605 is a FIG 3102 45-degree malleable iron pipe elbow rated at 150 lb, designed to change flow direction in threaded piping systems. Finished with a hot-dip galvanized coating for corrosion resistance, this fitting accepts female NPT (FNPT) connections at a 3/4 inch nominal pipe size. It is a standard pressure fitting suited for use in gas, water, and steam distribution piping where a 45-degree direction change is required. Plumbers, pipefitters, and mechanical contractors install this type of fitting in both new construction and retrofit applications.
This elbow is appropriate for residential and light commercial piping systems where threaded malleable iron fittings are specified. Common applications include domestic water supply, low-pressure steam, and gas distribution piping. The galvanized finish makes it suitable for exposed or semi-exposed installations where mild corrosion protection is needed. The 3/4 inch nominal size fits standard Schedule 40 black or galvanized steel pipe of the same diameter.
Designed as an OEM-style threaded fitting compatible with 3/4 inch nominal Schedule 40 steel pipe using FNPT threaded connections in 150 lb malleable iron piping systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable local mechanical and plumbing codes. Shut off and depressurize the system before removing or installing any threaded fittings. Apply an approved pipe thread sealant or PTFE tape to male threads before assembly; do not apply sealant to female threads. Hand-tighten first, then use a pipe wrench to bring the fitting to proper engagement without over-torquing the threads.
