The SHARKBITE/CASH ACME UA256A5 is a 3/4-inch PEX-A polyphenylene (poly) expansion 90-degree elbow fitting, sold in a 5-pack. This fitting is designed for use in potable water systems where a directional change is needed in the pipe run. It connects using the expansion method: a PEX expansion tool expands the pipe end and an expansion ring, which are then slid over the fitting. As the pipe recovers to its original size, it forms a secure, leak-resistant joint that tightens over time. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting in new construction and retrofit plumbing systems.

This fitting is intended for 3/4-inch PEX-A pipe only. It is not compatible with PEX-B or PEX-C pipe. Approved applications include domestic water service lines, in-slab burial, and underground installations including those encased in concrete. The poly construction resists corrosion and is suitable for both hot and cold water distribution lines in residential and light commercial settings. Each 5-pack provides enough fittings for a single rough-in scenario or multiple repair connections on a single job.

Installation Notes

Installation requires a properly sized PEX expansion tool and matching expansion rings rated for 3/4-inch PEX-A pipe — these are not included.
