The SHARKBITE U870W10 is a 3/4-inch PEX-B flexible water supply pipe in white, sold in a 10-foot length. PEX-B pipe is cross-linked polyethylene tubing manufactured using the silane method, producing a flexible, durable pipe suited for residential and commercial plumbing systems. This pipe is rated at 80 psi with a temperature range of 33 degrees F to 200 degrees F, covering both hot and cold water applications. Its flexibility allows for longer runs with fewer connection points compared to rigid copper or CPVC, cutting labor time and reducing potential leak locations. Licensed plumbers install this pipe for potable water distribution, fire protection, and municipal service line work.
SHARKBITE U870W10 is appropriate for hot and cold potable water distribution systems, fire protection piping, and municipal water service lines in residential and light commercial construction or retrofit projects. The white color coding identifies it as a neutral or general-purpose line, distinct from red hot-supply and blue cold-supply conventions used on other variants in this product family. The 3/4-inch inside diameter suits main distribution runs and branch lines where higher flow capacity is required. This coil length is practical for short runs, under-slab penetrations, and service connections.
Designed for use in hot and cold potable water distribution, fire protection, and municipal water service line applications. Compatible with PEX-B fittings and connection systems designed for 3/4-inch pipe with a 7/8-inch outside diameter.
Installation must be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off the main water supply and relieve system pressure before cutting or connecting any pipe. Use tools and fittings rated and listed specifically for PEX-B pipe to ensure a leak-free connection. Do not expose PEX pipe to direct sunlight for extended periods during or after installation, as UV exposure degrades the material over time.
