Sharkbite U870B20 Pex-b Pipe 3/4 in 20 Ft Blue

Product Description

The SHARKBITE U870B20 is a 3/4-inch PEX-B flexible water supply pipe in a 20-foot coil, color-coded blue for cold water lines. Rated at 80 psi and suitable for temperatures from 33 degrees F to 200 degrees F, it handles both hot and cold potable water distribution. The flexible construction reduces the number of connection points compared to rigid pipe, lowering installation time and the number of potential leak points. Licensed plumbers and water service contractors use PEX-B pipe for residential and light commercial water distribution, fire protection systems, and municipal service line runs.

This pipe is suited for potable hot and cold water distribution, fire protection piping, and municipal water service lines. The blue color coding identifies cold water circuits at a glance during rough-in and service. The 20-foot coil length reduces the number of joints required in longer runs, making it a practical choice for new construction, remodel, and repair work in residential and commercial plumbing systems.

Key Features

• PEX-B construction offers freeze resistance - pipe can expand slightly when frozen and contract when thawed
• 80 psi pressure rating suitable for standard residential and light commercial water supply
• Temperature range of 33 degrees F to 200 degrees F covers both cold and hot water service
• Blue color coding identifies cold water circuits during installation and inspection
• Flexible pipe reduces connection points, lowering material cost and potential leak locations
• 20-foot coil minimizes joints on longer runs, speeding rough-in time

Compatibility

Designed for use in potable hot and cold water distribution systems, fire protection piping, and municipal water service line applications where 3/4-inch PEX-B flexible pipe is specified.

Installation Notes

Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before cutting into any existing line. Use PEX-rated fittings and the correct crimp, clamp, or push-to-connect tooling specified for 3/4-inch PEX-B pipe. Avoid kinking the pipe during routing; use bend supports or elbows to maintain minimum bend radius.
