Sharkbite U870B100 Pex-b Pipe 3/4 in 100 Ft Blue

Product Description

The SHARKBITE U870B100 is a 3/4-inch PEX-B flexible pipe rated for hot and cold potable water distribution, fire protection, and municipal water service lines. Sold as a 100-foot roll in blue, it carries an 80 psi pressure rating and a temperature range of 33 degrees F to 200 degrees F. The flexible construction reduces the number of connection points required compared to rigid pipe, lowering labor time and potential leak points. Licensed plumbers and water service contractors install this pipe in both new construction and retrofit applications.

This pipe is suited for residential and light commercial potable water distribution systems where a flexible, freeze-resistant solution is needed. The blue color coding identifies cold-water lines by convention, helping installers quickly distinguish supply runs during rough-in. The 100-foot roll length covers longer runs with fewer splices, making it efficient for main distribution lines, branch runs, and service entry applications where PEX-B is an approved pipe type.

Key Features

• PEX-B construction provides flexibility to reduce connection points and potential leak sites
• Freeze-resistant pipe can expand slightly when frozen and contract when thawed, reducing burst risk
• Rated for potable hot and cold water, fire protection, and municipal water service lines
• 80 psi pressure rating with a temperature range of 33 degrees F to 200 degrees F
• Blue color coding for easy cold-water line identification during installation
• 100-foot roll minimizes mid-run connections on longer distribution runs

Compatibility

Designed for use in potable water distribution, fire protection, and municipal water service line applications where PEX-B flexible pipe is an approved material. Compatible with standard 3/4-inch PEX fittings and connection systems.

Installation Notes

Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off the main water supply and relieve system pressure before cutting into any existing lines. Use a dedicated PEX pipe cutter to produce clean, square cuts and follow fitting manufacturer instructions for the chosen connection method. Avoid kinking the pipe during routing; use bend supports or bend guides at direction changes to maintain flow capacity.
