The SHARKBITE/CASH ACME U512LFA is a 3/8-inch push-to-connect endstop plug designed to cap copper, CPVC, or PEX pipe quickly and without soldering, clamps, unions, or glue. Stainless steel teeth bite down and grip the pipe on insertion, while a specially formulated O-ring compresses to form a leak-tight seal. The fitting is reusable and can be rotated after assembly to ease installation in confined spaces. Licensed plumbers and experienced DIYers working on potable water supply or hydronic heating systems are the primary installers. The U512LFA is certified for low-lead compliance under California AB1953 and Vermont S152.
