Product Description

The SharkBite U454LFA is a lead-free push-fit reducing tee designed for fast, tool-free connections in potable and hydronic water distribution systems. Constructed from DZR (dezincification-resistant) brass, this fitting handles pipe sizes of 3/4 inch inlet by 1/2 inch by 1/2 inch outlets. It is rated to 200 psi and 200 degrees F, making it suitable for both domestic water supply and low-temperature hydronic applications. An integral tube liner is included for use with PEX tubing. Licensed plumbers and experienced installers use this fitting where a quick, reliable branch connection is needed without soldering or threading.

The U454LFA is compatible with copper, CPVC, and PEX tubing. It is appropriate for residential and light commercial plumbing installations, including water supply lines, branch take-offs, and retrofit work where torch access is limited or undesirable. The push-fit design allows connection without flux, solder, primer, or cement, reducing labor time on both new construction and service calls. Installation Notes

Installation is performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the IPC, UPC, or applicable local code. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before cutting and inserting pipe into the fitting. Ensure pipe ends are cut square, deburred, and clean before insertion to achieve a full, leak-free seal. The fitting is certified for underground and concealed applications and does not require an access panel when used as a manufactured joint.
