The SharkBite SBDS123814 is a dual stop valve designed for residential plumbing supply lines. It connects via 1/2 inch Push to Connect inlet to two compression outlets: one at 3/8 inch OD and one at 1/4 inch OD. The valve body is low-lead DZR brass with a chrome-plated exterior. It is rated to 125 psi and 160 degrees F. The Push to Connect end requires no soldering, no solvent cement, and no open-flame tools, making it suitable for tight spaces and fast service work. Licensed plumbers and experienced DIYers install this valve on new construction and retrofit supply lines.
This dual stop valve is used in residential and light commercial plumbing where a single supply stub-out must feed two fixtures simultaneously — a common scenario under sinks serving both a faucet and a refrigerator ice maker or dishwasher. It installs on wet or dry lines and can be pressure tested immediately after installation. The Push to Connect end is rotatable after installation, which helps with alignment in confined cabinet spaces. It is compatible with copper, PEX, CPVC, and PE-RT pipe for the Push to Connect inlet.
Compatible with copper, PEX, CPVC, and PE-RT pipe on the 1/2 inch Push to Connect inlet. A 2-year warranty applies when used with PEX, copper, CPVC, or PE-RT pipe.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or qualified tradesperson. Shut off the main water supply and relieve line pressure before removing any existing valve. The Push to Connect end seats with a single push to full insertion depth — verify pipe is cut square, deburred, and fully inserted to the depth mark. Do not overtighten compression nuts on the outlet fittings; hand-tight plus a quarter turn with a wrench is the standard approach for compression fittings. Verify no leaks under full operating pressure before closing the cabinet or finishing the rough-in.
