The SHARKBITE/CASH ACME UIP4016A is a 3/4-inch Copper Tube Size (CTS) by 3/4-inch PVC transition coupling designed to join PVC pipe directly to copper, PEX, CPVC, or PE-RT pipe without solder, clamps, unions, or glue. The push-to-connect design allows a plumber or pipefitter to complete the transition quickly and reliably in tight spaces where torch work is impractical or restricted. Compatible with PVC Schedule 40, 80, and 120 on one end and push-fit connection on the other, this fitting covers the most common pipe-to-pipe transition scenarios encountered in residential and light commercial plumbing systems. Sold as a package of 6 fittings.
This coupling is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing installations where a permanent, leak-resistant transition between PVC and other pipe materials is needed. Typical applications include connecting PVC drain or supply runs to copper service lines, joining PVC to PEX in retrofit or remodel work, and transitioning to CPVC or PE-RT in hydronic or potable water systems. The tool-free installation makes it a practical choice for service work where minimizing disruption to adjacent structures is a priority.
Designed for use with PVC pipe Schedule 40, 80, and 120 on the PVC end, and compatible with copper, PEX, CPVC, and PE-RT pipe on the push-fit end, all at 3/4-inch Copper Tube Size.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Shut off and depressurize the water supply before cutting or joining any pipe. Ensure pipe ends are cut square, deburred, and fully inserted to the depth mark before pressurizing. Do not use this fitting on gas lines or in applications outside its rated service conditions.
