The SHARKBITE/CASH ACME U3086FLEX24LF is a stainless steel braided water softener connector designed for potable and hydronic water distribution systems. Built from DZR brass with an integral tube liner, it connects 3/4-inch CTS to 1-inch female iron pipe (FIP) fittings. The lead-free construction meets modern plumbing code requirements, and the connector is rated to 200 psi and 200 degrees F. It is compatible with copper tubing (CTS), CPVC, and PEX supply lines, making it a versatile choice for licensed plumbers working on water softener installations and dishwasher supply connections in residential and light commercial settings.
This connector is suited for both above-ground and underground applications. It is certified as a manufactured joint that does not require an access panel, which simplifies rough-in work in finished spaces. Design certification to ASSE 1061 and NSF 61 standards confirms suitability for potable water contact. Compliance with UPC, IPC, and CUPC requirements supports use across most North American jurisdictions. Fittings are listed with IAPMO and are certified for potable and hydronic water distribution.
Designed for use with copper tubing (CTS), CPVC, and PEX supply lines. Connects 3/4-inch CTS to 1-inch female iron pipe fittings. Certified for potable and hydronic water distribution systems. Suitable for dishwasher and water softener supply connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes, including UPC, IPC, and CUPC where adopted. Shut off the main water supply and depressurize the line before making any connections. Hand-tighten the FIP fitting first, then use an appropriate wrench to seat the connection — avoid over-tightening, which can damage the fitting seat. Inspect the integral tube liner before inserting tubing to confirm it is properly seated.
