The SHARKBITE/CASH ACME K514A is a push-to-connect end stop designed to cap the open end of a 1/2-inch PEX pipe or compatible fitting. It uses the Evopex push-to-connect system, meaning no soldering, crimping, or special tooling is required for installation. The fitting is lead-free and rated for water supply service up to 160 psi and 200 degrees F. Licensed plumbers and experienced DIYers use this fitting when terminating a water supply line cleanly and quickly during new construction, remodel, or repair work.
This end stop is intended for residential and light commercial water supply applications where PEX piping is used. It is well-suited for closing off a live or staged supply line during a phased installation, isolating a branch, or permanently capping an unused port on a manifold or distribution fitting. Sold in a package quantity of 6, it fits common situations where multiple terminations are needed in a single job.
Designed for use with PEX-compatible pipe in residential and light commercial water supply systems. Specific compatible model or system families were not stated in the product data; confirm pipe outside diameter and wall type before installation.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or qualified tradespeople in accordance with the International Plumbing Code and local amendments. Shut off the water supply and relieve line pressure completely before connecting or disconnecting any push-fit fitting. Ensure the pipe end is cut square, deburred, and fully inserted to the depth mark before engaging the fitting. Do not use on steam lines, compressed air, or applications outside the rated pressure and temperature limits.
