The SHARKBITE/CASH ACME 23048-0000LF is a lead-free angle stop valve with a SharkBite push-fit inlet connection. It is designed for shutoff service on supply lines in residential and light commercial plumbing systems. The inlet is a 1/2-inch push-fit connection compatible with copper tubing (CTS), CPVC, and PEX pipe, and the outlet is a 3/8-inch OD compression port for standard supply lines. The body is constructed of DZR brass for corrosion resistance. Rated to 200 psi and 200 degrees F, this valve meets the pressure and temperature demands of typical potable water distribution. A licensed plumber or qualified trade professional installs this fitting. The integral tube liner is included, eliminating the need for a separate insert when using PEX tubing.
This angle stop is suited for residential and commercial supply shutoff applications beneath sinks, at toilets, and at other fixture supply connections. The push-fit inlet allows fast, tool-free connection to 1/2-inch CTS copper, CPVC, or PEX without soldering or threading. It is certified for use on potable and hydronic water distribution systems and approved for underground applications as a manufactured joint, removing the requirement for access panels in those installations. The package contains 6 fittings, making it practical for multi-fixture jobs or service van stocking.
Compatible with 1/2-inch copper tubing (CTS), CPVC, and PEX pipe. Certified for use on potable and hydronic water distribution systems. Listed with IAPMO and meets UPC, IPC, and CUPC requirements. Design certified to ASSE 1061 and NSF 61 standards.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes referencing IPC or UPC standards. Shut off the main water supply and relieve line pressure before removing any existing valve or fitting. The push-fit end requires that the pipe be cut cleanly and squarely and deburred before insertion. When connecting to PEX, confirm the included integral tube liner is properly seated in the pipe end before pushing into the fitting.
