The SHARKBITE 23049-0000LF is a lead-free straight stop valve with a push-fit connection designed for use in potable and hydronic water distribution systems. It features a 1/2-inch inlet and a 3/8-inch OD outlet, constructed of DZR brass for corrosion resistance in demanding plumbing environments. The push-fit design requires no soldering, crimping, or special tools, making installation fast and reliable. Rated to 200 PSI and 200 degrees F, it meets the pressure and temperature demands of residential and light commercial plumbing. An integral tube liner is included for use with PEX tubing. Licensed plumbers and experienced trade professionals are the primary installers.
This straight stop is suited for residential and commercial plumbing applications where a shutoff is needed at a fixture supply connection. Typical installations include under-sink supply lines, lavatory faucets, and similar fixture connections where 3/8-inch OD supply tubing is used. The fitting is compatible with copper tubing (CTS), CPVC, and PEX with the included integral tube liner. It is certified for underground applications as a manufactured joint, eliminating the need for access panels in buried installations. Sold in a package of 6 units.

Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes including IPC and UPC requirements. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before installing or removing the fitting. Ensure tubing is cut clean and square and deburred before insertion into the push-fit socket. When using with PEX, confirm the integral tube liner is seated properly inside the tube end before making the connection.
