The SHARKBITE 109-n-6 is a HoldRite 109 Series pipe support bracket designed to secure copper tubing in residential and light commercial plumbing installations. Fabricated from 16-gauge cold-rolled steel with a copper finish, this bracket holds CTS (Copper Tube Size) pipe up to 1/2 inch in nominal diameter. It measures 6.7 inches in length, 4.99 inches in width, and 0.65 inches in height, giving it a low-profile footprint suited for tight framing cavities and joist bays. Plumbers and pipefitters install this bracket to prevent pipe movement, reduce vibration transmission, and maintain code-compliant spacing between support points.
The 109-n-6 bracket is used in residential water supply rough-in work and light commercial plumbing systems where CTS copper pipe runs through wood-framed walls, floors, or ceilings. The bracket accommodates 1/2-inch and 3/4-inch CTS pipe sizes, making it a versatile single-bracket solution for common supply line diameters. It is well suited for new construction and retrofit applications where a secure, corrosion-resistant pipe support is required at joist or stud penetrations.
Designed for use with 1/2-inch and 3/4-inch CTS (Copper Tube Size) copper pipe. Part of the HoldRite 109 Series bracket system.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber during rough-in or service work. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before securing or repositioning any pipe support. Fasten the bracket to framing members using appropriate fasteners for the substrate, following local plumbing code spacing requirements for pipe supports. Avoid over-tightening fasteners in a way that deforms the bracket or stresses the pipe wall.
