The SGS PRO 15875 is a single-cut tungsten carbide inverted cone bur conforming to industry specification SN-2. It is designed for controlled material removal, deburring, and surface finishing on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The 3/8 inch cutting diameter and 1/4 inch shank make it compatible with standard die grinders and rotary tools used in fabrication, toolroom, and maintenance applications. With a maximum rated speed of 37,500 RPM and an uncoated tungsten carbide head, this bur delivers consistent cutting performance across a broad range of workpiece materials. It is typically installed and used by machinists, tool-and-die workers, pipefitters, and maintenance technicians.
This carbide bur is suited for hand-held die grinder work in both shop and field environments. Its inverted cone geometry with a 13-degree included angle makes it effective for undercutting, chamfering recessed features, and cleaning weld joints in tight access areas. The single-cut tooth pattern produces a smoother finish with less chatter compared to double-cut configurations, making it a practical choice when surface quality matters alongside stock removal. Applications span light fabrication, mold work, casting cleanup, and general metalworking across industrial and trade settings.
Suitable for cutting and finishing steel, hardened steel, stainless steel, cast iron, titanium, cermet, nickel, copper, and copper alloys. Fits die grinders and rotary tools equipped with a 1/4 inch collet.
Install and secure the 1/4 inch shank fully into the die grinder collet before operation. Confirm the tool is rated at or above the 37,500 RPM maximum before use, and never exceed that rated speed. Always wear appropriate eye protection and secure the workpiece before starting the grinder. Follow applicable shop safety standards and manufacturer operating guidelines for rotary cutting tools.
