The SGS PRO 15050 is a tungsten carbide abrasive bur with an SK-7 cone profile, designed for material removal, deburring, and shaping in metalworking and fabrication applications. The single-cut tooth style produces a smooth finish with consistent chip evacuation, making it well suited for controlled stock removal on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The 1/4 inch shank fits standard die grinders and rotary tools commonly found in machine shops, welding fabrication, and maintenance environments. At a maximum speed rating of 19,000 RPM and an overall length of 2.3125 inches, this bur balances reach with rigidity for precise work in tight cavities and contoured surfaces.
This bur is appropriate for use on steel, hardened steel, stainless steel, cast iron, titanium, cermet, nickel, copper, and copper alloys. The 90-degree included angle and 3/8 inch length of cut make it particularly effective when working inside angled ports, chamfers, and conical recesses. Typical applications include weld cleanup, port matching, mold deburring, and edge blending in both production and maintenance-repair settings. Machinists, tool-and-die workers, welding fabricators, and maintenance technicians are the primary users of this style of bur.
Designed for use with die grinders and rotary tools accepting a 1/4 inch collet. Suitable for machining steel, hardened steel, stainless steel, cast iron, titanium, cermet, nickel, copper, and copper alloys as specified by the manufacturer.
Installation is performed by machinists, fabricators, or maintenance technicians using a standard die grinder with a 1/4 inch collet. Ensure the collet is fully tightened before operation and do not exceed the 19,000 RPM maximum speed rating. Always wear appropriate eye protection and secure the workpiece before grinding. Disconnect or de-energize the tool before changing burs.
