The SGS PRO 13935 is a solid carbide rotary bur with a tree-with-pointed-end head shape, designed for aggressive material removal, contouring, and deburring in metalworking and fabrication applications. The head carries a TiN coating over a double-cut tooth pattern, which improves surface finish and extends tool life compared to uncoated single-cut alternatives. The 1/2-inch cutting diameter and 1-inch length of cut are suited to medium-scale cavity work, weld blending, and port matching. The 1/4-inch shank fits standard die grinders and rotary tool chucks used daily in shops and field service.
This bur is used in metal fabrication shops, automotive repair, aerospace MRO, and general machining where a pointed-tip tree profile is needed to reach into angled recesses, cored cavities, or tapered channels. Double-cut geometry cuts on both right and left flutes simultaneously, producing a finer finish than single-cut and removing chips efficiently. Applications include aluminum, cast iron, steel, and hard plastics. The TiN coating reduces friction and galling when working harder ferrous alloys.
Designed as an SG-5 specification rotary bur compatible with die grinders and rotary tools accepting a 1/4-inch shank collet.
Installation is performed by machinists, tool-and-die makers, or fabricators using a die grinder or rotary tool with a 1/4-inch collet. Secure the shank fully into the collet and tighten to manufacturer-specified torque before operation. Always wear eye protection and appropriate gloves when operating rotary burs. Inspect the bur for chipping or wear before each use and replace if the cutting edges are damaged.
